Third-party delivery services are shielding themselves from liability with a broad application of the Communications Decency Act* to simply position themselves as a “marketplace”. Within this marketplace, they are providing an independent contractor willing to provide delivery services to a company wanting to offer delivery of their product to a consumer.
Since these services rely upon app-based technology and online platforms, DeliverSure offers a robust cyber liability policy that extends well beyond the exposures created when using these platforms. Additionally, we include a contingent liability endorsement to protect your business, or your client’s business, from bodily injury or property damage to a third party that results from the actions of the third-party delivery service driver.
All insurance coverages provided are underwritten by certain underwriters at Lloyds. With $1,000,000 limit of liability, a minimum deductible of $1,000, and premiums starting around $1,000 annually, you can sleep soundly knowing your business, or your client’s business, is protected from the actions of third-party delivery service drivers.**
